The purpose of the USCAA Girls Softball program is to provide an opportunity for children of township residents to learn to play softball. The program's emphasis is to create a recreational yet competitive environment in which the participants can learn the sportsmanship and skills necessary to play at a more advanced level while enjoying the fun of a team sport.  

The age guidelines have changed for softball. We have gone to a cutoff similar to the school district. August 31st is the new cutoff date for all age groups. Players will be grouped in the following divisions based upon the player's age on August 31st of the upcoming seasonal year.  

1) 8U (birth date Sept 1 2015-Aug 31 2017)

2) 10U (birth date Sept 1 2013-Aug 31 2015)

3) 12U (birth date Sept 1 2011-Aug 31 2013)

A reasonable degree of commitment is expected by each player. Players should keep in mind that the number of players per team has been structured to afford each girl optimum playing time. Failure to field an entire team may result in forfeiture of that game and a loss to the team as a whole. Consideration should be made to the rest of the team. It is expected that each player will notify her coach in the event of an absence.
