2024 Girls Travel Basketball Tryouts

This year's girls travel basketball tryouts will be held starting October 14th at Boyce Middle School.  For the first time we are opening registration to 3rd graders to gauge interest at this level.  Final details for this grade regarding number of teams, etc. will be determined following tryouts.

Tryout Details
Two sessions have been scheduled for each grade to provide an alternative for unavoidable conflicts and give the players the best chance to be seen by the evaluation team.  Players are not required to attend both sessions, but attendance at both is highly recommended.  Players should wear a reversible, numbered rec basketball jersey to each tryout session, and bring their own basketball.  If a player does not have a jersey, one will be provided for use during the tryout, however the supply is limited.  Tryouts are closed to parents, but parents are asked to attend a brief introductory meeting to get an overview on the program.  Tryout sessions are estimated to last approximately one hour each.

·         Pre-registration is required for all participants and is available via: Mandatory Pre-Registration Form
·         All parents are requested to review the Girls Travel Basketball Principles and Parent Code of Conduct prior to completing registration.  Practices will start following team announcements in preparation for league play on or around December 1^st.
·         All Travel Basketball players in 3rd through 6th grades are required to participate in the Recreation Basketball Program conducted by the USCAA. 
·         The cost for this year’s program will be $210 for girls in grades 3-6 (includes recreation basketball) and $150 for grades 7 and 8.  Registration will be sent out after teams are announced.

Tryout Schedule – This year's travel basketball tryouts will be held during the weeks of October 14th and 21st, 2024 at Boyce Middle School.  Each session will last one hour with the following starting times:

Monday October 14th at Boyce
6:15 - 4th Grade
7:00 - 6th Grade
8:00 - 8th Grade

Wednesday October 16th at Boyce
6:15 - 3rd Grade
7:00 - 5th Grade
8:00 - 7th Grade

Monday October 21st at Boyce
6:15 - 3rd Grade
7:00 - 5th Grade
8:00 - 7th Grade

Tuesday October 22nd at Boyce
6:15 - 4th Grade
7:00 - 6th Grade
8:00 - 8th Grade

Teams are anticipated to be announced by October 28th and will begin practices the following week.  Registration for Recreation Basketball for girls in grades 1-6 will open after tryouts are completed and teams are announced.
