Registration for USCAA Spring 2025 Recreation Baseball is now OPEN for all leagues.

Each year, Baseball Registration typically opens the first two weeks of January.

2025 Recreation Baseball

Registration is now open for Upper St. Clair Recreation Baseball and is available for Upper St. Clair residents ages 5-14.

Teams will be assembled in the middle of March and the season will begin with practices in late March / early April. The season will run through Mid-June.

Ages of competition are not by Grade, all age divisions are ages as of April 30th, 2025 (Tee Ball ONLY age 5 by August 31st, 2025) and players may not be moved up or down based on requests.

Due to the success of the changes last year, we will continue with the following changes for Recreation Baseball: A few to note:

FOR RECREATION BASEBALL ONLY - If your child is a younger child in an older grade, you may request a ONE TIME movement to a higher division. Once moved, your child will remain at that level for the remaining years of Rec Baseball and may not move again. The example is: If your child is in 4th grade this year, but doesn't turn 9 until after April 30th, you may request to be moved up to Minors to stay with your class. Those are the only exceptions that will be allowed and ONLY for rec baseball at this time. For TRAVEL BASEBALL each child will have to play in their designated age group based on the April 30th cutoff. Your child must be registered for their proper group and then all requests must be made to [email protected].
Beginner / Advanced will play with "Advancement Lines", which more objectively allows the kids to prepare for competitive baseball during the season and play under similar rules.
Advanced League will keep score and play "normal" baseball rules. 3 outs and change, 5 run inning limits. More details to follow.
To be considered for a travel coaching position, you must be either a head or assistant coach in the recreation baseball league during the upcoming season and attended games at the set travel player percentage.
Pony League Baseball will not play in the South Hills Pony League this year, games will be during the week only.
13 and 14 year old travel teams will be assembled, subject to interest.

Players wanting to compete in Travel Baseball must participate in Recreation Baseball games to be eligible. Players must attend a minimum of 50% of the games played by their Recreational Baseball team in order to be eligible to play Travel Baseball.

Registration includes a uniform shirt and hat. We will have a Dick's Sporting Goods discount weekend in March for any additional equipment needs.

Registration cut-off is February 21st, 2025, but please register as soon as possible to help with planning and uniforms due to lead times.
