The program starts with a U-6 (Soccer groups are defined by “under an age as of July 31” heading such as Under 6 or U-6) micro soccer for children 5 years old between as of July 31st of the current year. This program combines simple skills development with fun “small-sided” games in a single one and a quarter hour session over 8 consecutive Saturdays in the fall (weather permitting) . Depending upon the registration numbers, the U-6 league is co-ed or divided into boy and girl leagues.

For the balance of the leagues, U-8, U-10, U-12, and U-14/16 age groups, separate leagues are provided for both girls and boys.

Registration for Fall Soccer takes place the first Thursday, Friday and Saturday of June at the USC Rec Center next to the USC Municipal Field. Practice for the U-8 to U-14/16 leagues starts in late August and is typically two nights a week throughout the season. The season consists of eight (8) games, on eight (8) consecutive Saturdays (weather permitting). The games start the first Saturday following the Labor Day Holiday.

The Fall Soccer Program is a recreational and instructional soccer program, emphasizing teamwork, improvement of physical stamina, development of basic soccer skills, and having fun. Our guiding principle is full participation by all players. As a result, we have made it a rule in all our leagues that all players must be given equal playing time in every game
